East Lammermuir Community Council, in partnership with the East Lothian Climate Hub, are seeking views of local residents across East Lammermuir and surrounds, and people who work in the area, to help us better understand your transport needs.
The East Lammermuir Local Place Plan identifies the community ask that a public or community transport service should be re-introduced to link the villages with Cockburnspath and Dunbar. Following the East L Go Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) trial in 2024 there hasn’t been a continuation of that service to date.
We held a workshop on 22nd January 2026 in Stenton Village Hall, attended by 23 community members, including 7 from Cockburnspath, where particpants were supportive of seeking to build on this trial to develop a similar adapted service. We are now seeking your views to check this is what the wider community prefer and to help shape the type of transport solution we should pursue, identify needs for transport across the area, secure funding and support better access to services in our communities.
The survey closes on 28th February 2026
