Road closure near Innerwick

Roads southeast of Innerwick, from Thornton Bridge to Black Castle Cottage. This update from SPEN was shared in the weekly Thursday 13th August emailed bulletin. Sign up here for other energy development bulletins.

Tuesday 4 August – Thursday 27 August- A full road closure will be in place on the U215. Local access only (to cottages). This closure is required to facilitate junction works where the haul road crosses the public road.

Thursday 27 August – Sunday 13 September

Phase one – A full road closure will be in place on the C121 between Blackcastle cottage and the junction with the U215. Please note the U215 will remain open throughout. This is detailed, along with the diversion in image above. This will allow further junction works to be carried out where the haul road crosses the public road.

Sunday 13 September to Monday 12th October

Phase two – a full closure of the section of the C121 between the junction of the U215 and the existing substation will be required to facilitate utility diversion works. This is detailed in the image above. The U215 will remain open throughout.
