“Zenobē has launched a new project webpage for the consented Branxton Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) providing information about the project and its development.”
Who are Zenobē? “Zenobē designs, builds and operates battery energy storage systems (BESS) that maximise the uptake of renewable power.”
The Branxton BESS site will be between Crowhill and Bilsdean, south of the railway line. See map below.
The new webpage includes an initial overview of the construction programme and project aims. Branxton BESS is expected to become operational in 2030, “aligned with the delivery of the new Branxton substation and wider electricity network reinforcement works.
“The project team is continuing to develop proposals for the haul road and is planning community engagement activities, including opportunities for local residents to meet the project team and learn more about the project. Further details will be shared in due course.“
