Applications have been submitted to the Scottish Government Marine Directorate for the Morven North and South offshore wind farm projects, off the Aberdeenshire Coast.

These applications do not include the transmission infrastructure to bring the power onshore. The connections for the wind farm are determined by National System Operator (NESO), one of which is expected to be in the Branxton area. The developers do not yet have their grid connection agreement, which will provide details of timing and location. They have been advised that the details of this agreement will be provided towards the end of this year.
