A1 lane closure

On behalf of Eastern Green Link 1 (EGL1) – “an upcoming lane closure on the A1, next to the junctions for Bilsdean/Dunglass. This closure will be in place on [Tuesday]14th July, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. We apologise for the late notice of the works, and are aware this will cause disruption to the community.

The closure is needed to support Prysmian’s work to install highway monitoring equipment ahead of drilling a cable route beneath the carriageway. The dates and times were only confirmed this week following discussions between Prysmian and BEAR Scotland, which is why we have been unable to provide more notice.”

“Traffic will continue to travel in both directions along the A1 using temporary traffic lights. There will be no diversion in place, and the traffic lights will be monitored throughout the works.
