East Lammermuir’s community-led ‘Local Place Plan’ validated by council planners
East Lammermuir Community Council (ELCC) are delighted to announce that their community-led ‘Local Place Plan’ is the first to be validated by East Lothian Council Planners.
Through a series of community-based information gathering events, action-marked maps have been drawn up to advise community groups, council officers and energy developers of residents’ ambitions for East Lammermuir. This ‘Local Place Plan’ will be taken into account by planners when
the East Lothian Council draw up the Local Development Plan.
Chris Bruce, Chair of ELCC said “The process of gathering views, promoting conversations and debate about how residents wish to see East Lammermuir develop, has given this Community Council its’ best-ever understanding of people’s aspirations for our area. I hope you enjoy seeing the various
visions of the future we are putting forward. Now we need to make this happen!
